April 2024 Summary

Today is April 24, 2024, and I am 5 days overdue for writing this self-enforced diary entry. I try to make one of these once a month, mainly for self reflection but also to keep track of my goals, life-related or not. As always, online related topics go first, and personal life topics go last.
SPACE MAZE GAME REMASTER
I’ll be honest, I haven’t even started making it. It’s not because I don’t want to, I do, I just don’t have time to make it, and I’ll cover this more in the Life Topics more. I hope I’ll be able to start making this in the future (Aiming to start in June), but now isn’t the time.
MY TOWN WORLD
The My Town World turns 10 years old in August, and I plan on retiring it after its tenth birthday. I have my reasons as to why I’m doing this and I will start off with the biggest one: There’s no more room.
The world has basically been out of space for years. The My Town World is made on a superflat world, yes, but ever since I moved the world to Java last year, new chunks are default chunks loaded alongside the original custom chunks. I’ve also made a massive lake that swallowed up most of the available land over the years which took away the already sparse land that’s available, and having to give family and friends plots of land that are only a few chunks at most due to no empty spots left.
Another reason is because the world is a superflat world, I’ve had to make ALL OF THE LANDSCAPING myself. It’s long, boring, and VERY tedious. And almost every time I don’t get the results I wanted anyway.
Over the past month, I’ve been experimenting with WorldPainter on making my own custom world. Just a few days ago I made a custom world that was 15x larger than the original My Town World. I may make the world a Minecraft Bedrock Realm (It’s currently a Minecraft Java world on 1.20.1) for friends and family to play on, but that would take hours! The new world is almost 5GB and it took hours to export it! I’ll elaborate more in the next diary entry on the new world, or maybe I’ll reserve it until after the My Town World turns ten, who knows!
YOUTUBE
On the YouTube front I have remained mostly silent, at least in the month of April. In the later half of March (after the March Summary), I republished all my older videos on all three of my channels [I’ll link them all in the References], as I got more comfortable with my older videos and stopped cringing at them (kind of). I also made a second Yakko’s World Edit because I couldn’t find someone using the Fragile States Index for the song. On top of that I made a short video that looked like I filmed it in the 90’s, of me just telling myself to go fuck myself.
For the next month, I’m not sure what I will do, as I haven’t made a single video in April so far. I don’t know if I will do anything for the month of May either. But I’ll leave the doors open in case I want to make some videos.
LIFE TOPICS
I feel like my life has just been set to just four steps each day: Wake up, Go to School or Work, go home, IF WORK AFTER SCHOOL: Go to Work then go home, Sleep. I don’t really have a lot of time to focus on myself recently. It’s been stressing me out a lot lately. When I’m stressed, one way I cope is eating. I’m a stress-eater. I’ve put on 3 pounds so far and I’ve been feeling horrible because of it, ‘cause I’ve been trying to cut my consumption because I want to lose weight.
I’ve been very interested in playing old DS/3DS games a lot in the past month. So much so that I’ve blown about $250+ on just old DS games, including a $66 Pokémon Pearl C.I.B.. But also My Childhood 3DS is starting to really shit the bed lately. The Game Card reader is FAULTY. Also the home button stopped working LAST YEAR. And the top casing paint started peeling off just last month. I could fix the 3DS, but for the Home button, I don’t know how to solder! Also I don’t feel real comfortable taking apart the whole system for the Game Card Reader.
School has been a real problem for me lately. I’ve cut back many of my Online things to focus on School. I actually failed English, and another one of my classes. I’m a senior and I need to pass my classes to graduate. So my time on the internet has been cut slightly to compensate for School.
CLOSING STATEMENTS
